Power PlayGoldline Mobility is excited to be participating in three upcoming events that support the Easter Seals Ontario.

The Easter Seals supports children and youth with physical disabilities by providing financial assistance for things like mobility equipment, communication devices and summer camp opportunities. As a company who provides mobility vans for people in London and the surrounding area, this is a cause we really stand behind and believe in. As each event get a little closer, we’ll be posting a blog about each event we’re involved in to help raise awareness and increase donations for such a great cause!

The first event we’re sponsoring is the London Power Play. This event has been running for 15 years strong every September and is so much fun! Since its inception, this fundraiser has raised more than $360,000 which is amazing. At the Power Play, Easter Seals Ontario shuts down Talbot Street and the Covent Garden Market for this 4-on-4 ball hockey tournament.

This year Easter Seals Ontario is partnering up with the NHL Rookie Tournament Street Party on Friday, September 11 which is going to make for even more fun. Teams of six to ten hockey players take over the street to play hockey and have fun, which is easy to do with a beer tent, BBQ, live and silent auction, live music and NHL alumni!
People who take part in Power Play have the chance to play with (and against!) former pros and even get autographs from them. Since last year, the Easter Seals have created a larger partnership with Budweiser Gardens which makes Power Play the pre-party to the NHL Rookie Tournament for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins.

You can join the fun on September 11th at Covent Garden Market starting at noon. If you want to support the London Power Play you can register a team to play or you can donate to the cause. The top fundraising team will receive a box suite for the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Montreal Canadiens game on September 12.

See you there, London!
