Drop Zone

We’re back with another Easter Seals fundraising blog! This week we’re covering the London Drop Zone, a spectacularly scary (if you don’t like heights!) fundraiser that’s happening on Wednesday, September 16th.

This is the 5th annual Drop Zone fundraiser for London and it challenges participants to raise a minimum of $1,500 in pledges to rappel down the 26-storrey building at One London Place in downtown London, Ontario. Anyone can enter and everyone gets to be a superhero for the day by raising money to help kids with physical disabilities who could use the support.

Entering is so much fun and so is challenging yourself in this thrilling event which is totally safe to participate in. You’ll be harnessed up and given instructions at a pre-event training session on how to rappel down the building, so no worries if you’ve never rappelled down a building before! You’ll also be guided by highly trained and fully certified experts from Remote Access Technology during the entire process.

You only need to raise $1,500 in order to participate and since 2005, more than 4,000 people have joined the challenge in different cities across Canada. Space for this one is very limited since everyone wants the change to be a superhero for the day. You can read more information about Drop Zone London online at the Easter Seals website.
